Helen's cabin stood near one of Cylli's rivers. The nearby bench, waterfall, and wildlife became part of her shared life with Cylli.
Loss and reunion
Helen and Cylli often sat on the bench watching the river and wildlife. After Cylli vanished, Helen kept the curtains closed and sheets unwashed, preserving the child's scent. Cylli later reappeared at the foot of her bed and reunited with her.[1][3]
