An Autodoc is an automated medical facility capable of diagnosis and advanced treatment. Its voice-controlled equipment includes a metallic bed that retracts into a cylindrical scanning chamber.

Brookes' treatment
Helen had previously used an Autodoc for a twisted ankle. Forced to guide Brookes to one, she ordered a scan from the machine's metallic bed and cylindrical chamber. It identified the missing right ear and cancerous cells in his left lung, estimating treatment at two hours and forty-seven minutes.[1]
After the confrontation
Katie Silver and Brookes were both treated after the surrender confrontation. Silver was expected to recover completely. Brookes later asserted that Cylli's medical facilities could sustain life for another century and a half, citing the Hubritians' longer lifespan.[2][3]
