Energy applications
Echo explains the hypersphere as a four-dimensional counterpart of an ordinary sphere. In Venus's terraforming, hyperspheres also capture the heat released by comet impacts and are guided away into space.[1][2]
A rock in four-dimensional space
Echo's unmanned shuttle released a spherical rock into the hypersphere behind it. The rock appeared to deform into impossible patterns as a three-dimensional object within four-dimensional space. Destruction of the drive released its energy at once, accelerating the rock toward the hawk.[3]
