Cylli’s rotating gun is a defensive weapon built into the habitat’s forward rim. Deployable metal rails rotate and discharge orange energy shards in a helix-like pattern.

Deployment and operation
Metal rails emerge from a thin strip between Cylli’s frontal doors and outer hull. The rim rapidly gains rotational speed, releasing flashes of orange shards from the rails. The firing sequence follows the rotation, producing a helix-like pattern of orange energy.[1]
Defense against Brookes
After resisting Avalon Brookes’s sphere beam, Cylli orders him to leave. When he continues to threaten her, she deploys the rotating weapon against his hawk. Every shard strikes its target; the hawk shakes under repeated impacts and becomes white-hot before Brookes turns away and flees. Cylli displays the engagement to Kip Eastcott and his companions on a hologram.[1]
