The laser demonstration
Echo targets ornamental pots visible outside the minister's ground-floor office, using a reflected deflection laser to demonstrate its capabilities from beyond the Moon.[1]
Cooling of Venus
After ten days of restricted sunlight, temperatures near Venus' equator approached freezing. The contrast emphasized the warmth to which its inhabitants were accustomed.[2]
