Megan's mother lived secretly with her daughter in a remote forest cabin. A Flaxen patrol killed her while she was foraging for food, when Megan was ten.
Death
Megan watched the shooting from hiding and remained beside her mother's body for nearly three days. A Flaxen hunter then found Megan, gave her water, and brought her home.[1]
