Rule and doctrine
Its leaders declare the Titan divine punishment for human arrogance, condemn planetary transformation and most machinery, and impose agrarian labor. A third testament enshrines the doctrine. Contact with Venus is eventually lost, and belief in its human population becomes heresy.[2]
Opposition and defeat
Dissenting factions fight sporadic wars without initially ending church rule. William Hornica later inspires a successful revolution that restores scientific inquiry, though he dies before its victory.[2]
