Family and prisoners
He played and sang with Serilda and delivered bread that she and her mother made to camp prisoners. Serilda believed he planned to free them, although she did not know how. A lower-ranking Flaxen discovered his aid to the prisoners, and he and Serilda's mother were tortured and shot when Serilda was eight.[1][2]
