Operation
A faint vibration signals an incoming call, and wrist touches or movements answer calls and select contacts. The implant is described as no larger than a sesame seed.[1]
Civilian use
Serilda chose to receive the standard implant after joining Echo. When she invited Sarah inside before the door buzzer sounded, she explained that the device had alerted her rather than a psychic sense.[3]
Contact after the attack
When Cylli no longer responded, Silver suggested transmitting through the polymer seal. Eastcott ordered Echo to contact Chute's implant directly, allowing the bridge to learn about Brookes' intrusion and Cylli's disappearance.[4]
