A transparent polymer film sealed the breach in Cylli's hull after Brookes' attack. The patch prevented further catastrophic air loss while leaving a visible scar.
Also recorded as: Hull patch
Communication and escape
Echo contacted Helen through the seal using her dermal implant. Later, Silver cut a scorpion-shaped passage with only a millimeter of clearance, limiting escaping air to a breeze. Material released from the scorpion's plasma banks hardened to replenish the seal after departure.[2][3]
Lasting damage
Nearly a year later, Scott had been unable to restore the hull to its original appearance. Helen called the remaining patch a scar of war.[4]
