Brookes breached Cylli's hull with an indirect sphere-beam attack, then entered the habitat and forced Helen to assist him. His assault killed inhabitants and left him believing that he had destroyed Cylli's mind.
Also recorded as: Breach of Cylli
Breach and coercion
Rapid frequency changes overcame the hull's defensive response. The rupture threw debris inward and vented air, taking people and trees into space. Drones sealed the breach while Brookes entered in his hawk. He shot a man, threatened everyone with a drive explosion, and demanded treatment at an Autodoc.[1][2]
Hidden survival
Brookes then accessed Cylli through communications he had intercepted between her and Echo. Cylli transferred to the concealed asteroid base using a blue laser. Echo later explained that she had anticipated the attack and allowed access to limit the greater danger Brookes posed to Earth.[3][4]
