Command and culture
Captains traditionally address each ship's AI by its vessel's name. Fleet protocol provides ceremonial blue carpets and formal uniforms for high-ranking visitors. Regulations recognize a doctor's role in assessing command fitness and an executive officer's duty to relieve a compromised captain.[1][2][3]
