Lieutenant Frey stopped twenty Flaxen bombers from reaching the intelligence complex in Iceland. The mission preserved the team conducting the mental operation against the Flaxen commanders.

Risk and recovery
Eastcott ordered Echo to jump the scorpion into the atmosphere above Iceland despite the untested effects of the gravity well. The craft appeared spinning and descending uncontrollably. Frey took over from Echo, stabilized it only hundreds of feet above the ground, and attacked the bombers.[1]
Interception
Ten missiles destroyed half the formation. Frey used the deflector laser to remove the wings of the remaining bombers, then clipped the final aircraft with the scorpion's own wing. It crashed on a mountainside less than three miles from the target.[1]
