Serilda and eleven United Earth intelligence operatives directed a combined mental operation against senior Flaxen officers. The operation caused military divisions that became decisive in Earth's liberation.

Design
Eastcott reasoned that troops followed their military commanders more closely than the government. Serilda supplied extraordinary power and experiences of love, suffering, and a future of exploration; another operative joined the minds into a stronger whole. The goal was to reveal other ways of living to those who could redirect the war.[1][2]
Results and cost
As officers reconsidered the war, some tanks stopped and aircraft attacked formations continuing the offensive. Snelder experienced twelve hours of visions before issuing new orders. The operatives were exhausted, and Serilda collapsed and returned to Echo with minimal brain activity.[1][2]
