Uses and limits
She used the ability to draw Eastcott toward Earth, strengthen his empathy, and encourage Flint to spare prisoners. She later lent Eastcott mental steadiness, exhausting herself in the process. She said she did not read minds in the ordinary imagined sense and could not predict the future. Intelligence derived from dreams required caution because dreams could be abstract.[1][2][3][4]
