The Flaxus's office
The office contained a large oval window overlooking an ocean, surrounding mountains, and green plains; a gold-trimmed wooden desk; and marble statues of earlier rulers. It hosted Brookes's negotiations with Claudius and the later conference with Kilter Shrader.[1][2]
Collapse of rule
As defeat approached, Claudius smashed the window and the marble likenesses of his predecessors. His officers gathered there when he ordered the cities burned. During the eclipse, he boarded the window against the cold and eventually killed himself after his guard deserted him.[3][4]
