Echo vaporizes two selected ornaments outside Eppleston's office using a laser reflected from a survey probe. Independent scientists verify the signal's lunar origin. Earth's president, war minister, chief general officer, and chief air marshal then travel to Echo with five guards.[1][2]
Proposed exchange
The delegation asks Echo to extract a gifted human–Flaxen prisoner from a North American camp. Eastcott requests manufacturing support, especially railgun slugs, in return.[2]
