Military and scientific significance
The station changes hands three times during the first four years of the war. Odin hides in Jupiter's atmosphere before ambushing Echo. Thousands of years later, the planet's colored bands form the backdrop to Echo's first close view of Cylli.[2]
Distance and detection
Light communication between Earth and Jupiter was described as taking an average of thirty-three minutes. During Cylli's deception, Hawk detected high-energy protons and a magnetic field matching Jupiter's despite the false view of Cylli's interior.[4][6]
