The mega chamber was Brookes's proposed replacement for the Flaxens' reduced death-chamber network. He offered to build a continuously powered structure capable of killing at least fifty thousand captives at once.

Approval
Brookes presented the design as a solution to slow capacitor charging and limited chamber capacity. Claudius approved it as Brookes's second priority after completing the hawks. The proposal included retaining at least one hundred thousand selected Humans for Brookes's own domain.[1]
Design and evidence
Brookes transmitted construction instructions to Claudius after capturing Echo. The same energy principles used by the sphere drive would power the chamber. The plans became central evidence in his war-crimes trial; construction or operation of the machine is not established.[2][3][4]
