Flaxen death chambers were heat-based execution facilities used against captive Humans. Their operation depended on capacitors that required time to recharge.

Operation
At Camp Skadi, six circles became visible in infrared after prisoners were locked inside. Movement ceased within seconds. Echo calculated that the temperature could reduce a Human body, including bone, to ash in less than a minute. Prisoners cleared the ashes before the next group entered.[1]
Terror and capacity
The Flaxens wanted victims to know they were about to die and who was killing them. Eastcott destroyed thirty-four chambers in the Americas, leaving forty according to Shrader's later report. Brookes estimated actual daily killings below the theoretical total and proposed a much larger replacement.[2][3][4]
Escalation and destruction
Eppleston reported that the chambers had begun operating through the night rather than only in daylight. Silver's destruction of the patrolling hawk opened the way for attacks against the chambers. Eastcott sent Claudius recordings of their destruction.[5][7]
Proposed successor
Brookes designed a much larger chamber for half a million victims a day, but that design is not shown becoming operational.[8]
