Satellites remaining from before Echo's departure for Copious provided reconnaissance during its return to Earth. Echo reestablished communications with them and used their optical and infrared feeds to support military operations.
Tactical support
The satellites revealed the layout and guard patterns at Camp Skadi. Their imagery later showed the bombing of York, killings inside the death chamber, and heat traces on vehicle tires near Aconcagua. Distance and line of sight still limited Echo's ability to act directly on what it observed.[1][2][3]
