War with Earth
United Earth's Senate refuses to recognize the secession, and Mars launches the first strike against the Moon. United Earth ultimately wins but leaves Mars with many of the terms it had sought. Former Martian Marines later join the Copious expedition alongside their former enemies.[1][4][5]
Scientific collaboration
The Confederacy and United Earth cooperate in terraforming Venus and constructing Cylli. Its flag remains visible beside Earth's on the habitat's entrance thousands of years later.[2][3]
Alliance and preparation
The flags of both powers appeared on pressure suits in the hawks and on the doors of the asteroid base. Echo described Cylli as their greatest shared achievement, surpassing even Venus' transformation. Before the Titan, the alliance detected the horde and built numerous military installations.[7][8][9][10]
